It’s quite a challenge to determine which of the two, 93-year-old Sally or 1-year-old Brody, is more adorable among this lovely duo. But one thing is for sure, seeing them together is a heartwarming experience.
Sally has been living next to Dave Mazarella in Mt. Vernon, Washington for 15 years since her husband passed away in 1990. She has met all of Mazarella’s pups before, but she never formed a bond like the one she shares with Brody, his Saint Bernard, who’s only one year old.
According to TODAY, Sally mentioned that Brody, who has a massive following on Instagram, had already dropped by before noon.
According to Sally, Brody visited her earlier today in the company of Dave. She mentioned that she finds him an endearing person and even offered him a piece of bread for breakfast. Brody and Sally bump into each other quite often, and it’s safe to say that they both bring a lot of joy and positivity into each other’s lives.
Mazarella shared that Brody used to visit her place without any hesitation and eventually, his visits became frequent. This was because she started offering him snacks. From then on, the two became inseparable. They would attend church together, keep themselves updated with the news, and read the daily paper side by side.
Sally expressed, “As soon as Brody spots me, he becomes delighted. Dave believes it’s because of my tone that Brody adores me so much.”
Back in her younger days, Sally grew up on her family’s farm in Holland and eventually moved to Washington in 1952. Her time spent on the farm instilled a deep appreciation for animals within her.
Sally is a mother to four kids, but only one of them resides close to her. However, she manages to stay in constant touch with all of them and they love seeing pictures of Sally’s bond with Brody as much as we do.
The pairing of these two elements has an undeniable ability to evoke feelings of happiness within us. Sally believes that her positive character traits may have played a significant role in allowing her to live a fulfilling and lengthy life.
According to her, her father always told her that she was his first child and a source of happiness since the day she arrived. Despite facing a few setbacks in life, she always finds a way to bounce back. Watch the video for more details.
