Heartwarming moment as a dog gives kisses to the firefighter who saved him from a rooftop. Jeff Nawfel, the captain of the Wells Fire Department in Maine, took on the task of comforting the husky and earning his trust to safely bring him back inside the house. Dogs have always been valued for their ability to help humans in various ways, being loyal companions throughout history and easing many household and outdoor tasks with their unique traits.
At times, our fluffy companions may need a helping hand from humans to overcome some challenges. This seems to be the situation with a cute husky dog in Wells, a town located in Maine, USA.
The dog was trapped on the roof of its home, as shown in a video posted by the Wells Police Department on their Facebook page, unable to come down despite its owners’ efforts. While it may seem like a minor incident, the local Fire Department had to be called in to rescue the furry creature safely.
As shown in the pictures, the firefighter climbed up to the roof of the house to soothe the scared dog and gain his trust. Once they had established a connection, the firefighter picked up the dog and brought him back inside through the window. But before going in, the dog stopped for a moment to give the firefighter a kiss on the cheek, showing his appreciation for being rescued.
In 2018, Captain Jeff Nawfel of the Wells Fire Department successfully rescued a cute puppy who had gotten stuck on his roof. The police department, in a statement, credited Officer Steve McDonald for capturing the video of the rescue. Nawfel expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped in the puppy’s rescue.
