Is that your sack? The boxer dog couldn’t hide his joy after his owner carried him in his backpack when he refused to go any further

After standing on her paws for thirty minutes, Wilma the boxer decided she had enough. She cleverly suggested taking a ride instead of exhausting herself by walking. So, her owner carried the five-month-old pupper in a backpack for the rest of the journey, and Wilma seemed to enjoy it, flashing a grin along the way. This adorable scene of a puppy chilling in a bag while out with the family in Paignton, Devon, is a common sight.

Give me a lift... I'm dog tired: Mr Barron-Robinson carries the family's three-month-old boxer dog Wilma in her beloved rucksack that she enjoys more than walking further than two miles

Can you please give me a ride? I’m so exhausted: Mr. Barron-Robinson has to carry the family’s three-month-old boxer dog, Wilma, in her favorite backpack whenever they go for a long walk. Wilma, who loses interest in walking after around two miles, will lay down on the ground and look at them with a pleading expression. According to Nichola, a 45-year-old primary school teacher from Plymouth, Devon, Wilma always prefers being in the bag. As soon as they put her in there, she becomes completely calm. On the day the photo was taken, which was in July when Wilma was only two months old, Mrs. Barron-Robinson recalled: “It was a very hot day, we were at Paignton regatta and had been on our feet for about half an hour – which was already too much for her at that age. So, we decided to put her in the bag, and she seemed so happy about it.”

Wow, that was quite the adventure! Mr and Mrs Barron-Robinson enjoy going for long walks, but their puppy Wilma usually only lasts about two miles before needing a ride for the last six. Now, whenever Mrs Barron-Robinson and her husband David decide to take a long stroll, Wilma manages around two miles before hopping into a bag for a lift. Mrs Barron-Robinson, a mother of two, explained that they typically like to walk six to eight miles, but Wilma can only handle about two. With Wilma weighing in at two stone, she’s still light enough to be carried without much effort. However, once she reaches her full weight, she’ll be twice as heavy and won’t fit into the bag because of her long legs. Mrs Barron-Robinson shared, “Having a puppy is like having a baby; you don’t want it to impede your plans. So, we’ve figured out a way to still enjoy our walks with Wilma by using a rucksack.”

Mrs Barron-Robinson said a puppy is like a baby, you don't want to stop doing what you love so you work around it

Mrs. Barron-Robinson likened caring for a puppy to looking after a baby, where you adapt your routine to accommodate them while still enjoying the things you love.
