A dog with two legs was heartlessly expelled from her home by her owner due to the owner’s shame and disregard for the dog’s disability.
The story of the puppy in “With a Little Faith” showcases his triumph over obstacles, and he became an emblem of unwavering determination. Unfortunately, the puppy’s owner left him alone due to his congenital condition. This transpired on Christmas Eve in 2002, in the United States, when a puppy was born with a birth defect that rendered one of his three legs useless and shrunken.
It’s possible that the reason why the mother dog abandoned this puppy was because of its poor health and the fact that it only had two hind legs. The owner, upon seeing the puppy’s condition, believed that it was beyond saving and discarded it on the street. Luckily, a mother and daughter, Jude Stringfellow, came across the little dog and took care of it despite its weak state. Although many believed that the pup wouldn’t survive, it eventually regained strength. However, some suggested that the humane thing to do would be to give it a euthanasia injection.
Jude, on the flip side, was brought up by her adopted family who gave her a new name – Faith, meaning trust and belief. Mrs. Jude believed that Faith would work wonders and restore her faith. Initially, Faith had a tough time getting used to the custom-made skateboard designed by Mrs. Jude. She relied on leaning on the skateboard while using her hind legs to propel herself forward. However, with Mrs. Jude’s help, Faith started practicing jumping exercises which strengthened her hind legs and enabled her to stand upright with ease.
Faith had undergone a rigorous six-month training program that enabled her to stand and run freely on her hind legs. She found solace in the park, where she played with people without any trepidation. Her bipedal locomotion drew the attention of all those around her, who were moved to tears by Faith’s story and admired her boundless enthusiasm. It was no surprise that she quickly became a beloved figure among all who knew her.
A tiny canine named Faith quickly gained fame for her remarkable skill in healing souls. Despite being born with a birth defect, she learned to walk independently and became a frequent guest on numerous TV shows.
In addition, several newspapers have featured this remarkable dog. Faith has even authored a book called “With a Little Faith”. Post-war, Faith served as a “healing psychologist”, aiding injured soldiers in dealing with their psychological scars. Furthermore, she is also a source of encouragement and inspiration for patients who are severely ill, motivating them to fight against their illnesses.
After much consideration, Miss Jude Stringfellow decided to leave her job as a teacher and embark on a journey around the globe with her beloved Faith. It’s important to remember that having a beautiful soul is just as valuable as having a perfect body, and this is a message I want to share with everyone.
The inspiring tale of this lovable pooch should encourage us to keep the faith, strive harder, and persevere towards achieving our aspirations. It’s like the adage, “When one door closes, another opens.” We can triumph over any challenge if we can weather the storm and hold on to our dreams.
