A brave 8-month-old pup managed to survive on his own for two weeks in the woods after being abandoned by his cruel owner. Despite being left with his bed, old toys, and a bag of sealed dog food, the poor animal was left injured and unable to move. It wasn’t until someone spotted him and called for help that rescuers were able to find him. When they approached, the pup began wagging his tail in excitement at the prospect of being rescued. It’s a tragic story of neglect and mistreatment, but thankfully this sweet boy is now in good hands.
Unfortunately, the nearby shelter didn’t have enough funds to cover Hank’s medical expenses. The only option left for them was to put him down if a rescuer did not come forward. Luckily, Humans and Animals United, a Florida-based animal rescue group, stepped in and gave him a new name – Hank. They immediately took him to a veterinary hospital where a thorough examination revealed that he had a leg injury.
Hank, a rescued pup, is currently residing at the Veterinary hospital to put on some weight prior to undergoing surgery. It’s disheartening to see the poor kid in such a skinny state. According to the surgeon, the leg seems to have been fractured for over two weeks and left in the woods for another two weeks.
Thanks to the kind-hearted donations and the dedicated team at the animal hospital, the thin little puppy is now receiving the love and attention he deserves. Despite his difficult beginning, he remains affectionate towards both humans and fellow canines. He is currently undergoing preparations for leg surgery and once he has recuperated, he will be eagerly searching for his forever family.
On Facebook, Hank’s rescue story was posted by Humans and Animal United, who announced that they are now accepting applications for adoption of this charming dog. According to the rescue team, they were puzzled as to why someone would abandon Hank in the woods with a broken leg. Fortunately, they found him, and he is now being cared for properly with all his needs met. The rescue team also sent a message to whoever left Hank there, stating that he is safe now and will never be mistreated again.
